In 2017, Access Africa Initiative (AAI), Greenfield Resources Pty Ltd, Shekinah Business Solutions entered into a partnership for advancing programs aimed at achieving Economic Justice for vulnerable populations in Lesotho. The partnership MOU was signed in 2018 under the name Winning Side Partners (WISPA). In March 2018, the partnership joined hands with Netherlands based Child Youth Finance International (CYFI) and implemented financial education and awareness campaign focusing on targeting youth in Mafeteng and Maseru Districts the importance of technological financial services in the form of mobile wallets (ie. Mpesa and Eco-cash) to access money.

WISPA conceived The Lesotho Recruitment Summit, motivated by the high risk for socio-economic instability paused by an economy characterised by high unemployment and underemployment; high import expenditure, high debt in the working middle class, under capacitated SMMEs, insufficient financial literacy and awareness in the youth and unavailability of economic advocacy forums for public-private dialogue for economic solutions. The Recruitment Summit has therefore been created to combat high unemployment in Lesotho through, stimulating the demand for sustainable employment in formal and informal sectors, promoting strategies for absorption of local labour into the economy, enhancing participation of local companies on government contracts and capacitating SMMEs as a strategy to strengthen capabilities of Basotho graduates, technicians and professionals to adapt and thrive in the current unstable economic environment.
